Project 25, Home Again’s Frequent User Initiative,
SAN DIEGO (November 16, 2011): Project 25, Home Again's Frequent User Initiative, provides permanent housing and supportive services to at least 25 of San Diego County’s chronically homeless.1 Today, Project 25 announced that it has enrolled 35 chronically homeless individuals and permanently housed 27 of them – less than a year into the three-year pilot program. By aiding some of the most frequent users of public resources, the program saves taxpayers millions of dollars.
While chronically homeless in 2010, the 35 participants used over $4 million in public resources, according to currently collected data. Since Project 25 began enrolling participants in March 2011, participants have already cut overall costs by 75 percent over a six month period...read more
