The Chronically Homeless
Who are the chronically homeless?
They're not who you think they are. They are often just like you and me except illness, financial difficulty or tragedy has forced them from their homes and lives.

Why are they homeless?
The majority of chronically homeless people suffer from mental or physical illness or substance abuse and often both. This has led them to lose their jobs, homes, family, health, and connection to society. Some have been released from hospitals, jails, or military service and simply have nowhere to go, no resources and no opportunity. They are not just without a home - they are without hope.
